Some college students prefer to do part-time jobs, because they think they can earn some pocket money and to some degree relieve the financial burden on the family, especially to those poor students from the countryside or the remote areas. And it can help them build up a sense of independence and responsibility. Besides, they can broaden their vision and enrich their working experience and deepen their understanding of the society. What’s more, sometimes what they do will make them have a better understanding of book knowledge, and thus encourage them to study harder.
But other students consider part-time job a distraction from their studies, because some students even fail in the exams after they pick up a part-time job. They consider study as the first or even the only thing for them. And they are afraid that, at formative age, they will be spoiled or corrupted by the society.
